Mixing/Production
You Got Me Stuck
Recorded, Mixed, Mastered
"You Got Me Stuck" emerged from a spontaneous jam session during a Capital University songwriting retreat in Hocking Hills. In a rustic cabin setting, we set up a makeshift studio where I handled the recording, mixing, and mastering of the project. The track came together organically as we started noodling around - bass found its groove, guitars joined in, then keys, drums, and vocals naturally fell into place.
The cabin's unique acoustics and the relaxed environment really shaped the sound of this recording. There was something special about capturing a song that grew from nothing into a full arrangement, with each musician adding their own flavor to the mix. This project showed me how sometimes the best recordings come from simply letting musicians play and finding the right way to capture that natural energy.

Ooga Booga
Recorded, Mixed, Mastered
Recording Midnight Division's "Ooga Booga" in Capital's Studio E was a blast. The track is driven by this monster bass line that really sets the tone for the whole piece. We captured all the raw energy and heaviness of the band's metal sound while taking advantage of the studio's professional environment.
The session had this great vibe throughout - everyone was locked in and the performances came together naturally. The result is a heavy metal track that hits hard but maintains clarity in all the right places.
Defiance
Recorded, Mixed, Mastered
After Eden's "Defiance" came together track by track in Capital's Studio F. We approached this heavy rock/metal project methodically, laying down each instrument separately to ensure we could capture the intensity of their sound while maintaining control over each element. The multipart tracking process let us focus on getting the perfect take for each layer of the song.
The careful tracking approach really paid off in capturing the power of the band's sound, allowing us to build the song's dynamics from the ground up while keeping the aggressive energy that After Eden is known for.

Sunshine in Alaska
Composed, Mixed
I wrote this playful little piece inspired by those moments when sunlight breaks through in Alaska. The whole thing has this warm, bouncy energy that keeps moving forward. The piano and electric piano became these two characters having a conversation - they weave around each other trading melodies until the EP steps into the spotlight for this really open, breathing solo section.
Just when you think the piece is wrapping up, the piano takes an unexpected detour before hitting home. The whole thing ends with this ascending line that feels like it could roll right into the credits of your favorite show!
Synthpop Safari
Composed, Mixed
Synthpop Safari is my venture into high-energy electronic fusion. I had fun layering different arpeggiated patterns and atmospheric pads over this driving saw bass line, all moving at this peppy, upbeat tempo. RetroSynth was my go-to for crafting a lot of these sounds, and I dug into Logic's sampler instruments to add some extra flavor to the mix.
The track ended up being this colorful journey through different synthesizer textures - kind of like taking a safari through a neon jungle!

Immortal Rebirth
Composed, Mixed
What started as a synth layering experiment turned into this ever-evolving electronic journey I called "Immortal Rebirth." I dove into my favorite synth tools - Logic's RetroSynth, Sculpture, and Alchemy, plus FM8 - to build these constantly transforming soundscapes. The name came from this idea of something eternal being born again, which you can hear in how the patterns keep shifting and reinventing themselves throughout the piece.
Around the two-minute mark, everything opens up into this massive space that feels like floating through a cosmic ocean. The track breathes with filter sweeps opening and closing, while ambient textures swirl in the background. Some sections pull back to give you room to float, while others fill up every corner of space with sound. It's like watching electronic waves crash and recede, each one bringing something new to shore.
The Infinite Tuesday
Directed, Composed, Mixed
"The Infinite Tuesday" represents a dual creative effort where I both wrote the screenplay and composed the original score. The script follows a college student trapped in a time loop, discovering the real-world implications of the philosophical concepts he's studying. I wanted to create something that played with the familiar "time loop" concept but through a more cerebral, philosophical lens.
For the score, I focused on creating an unsettling ambient soundscape that would enhance the psychological aspects of the story. The music needed to reflect both the mundane nature of the repeating day and the growing existential dread as our protagonist realizes his situation. Using layered synthesizers and atmospheric textures, I built a sonic foundation that mirrors the character's growing awareness of his bizarre reality. The score walks the line between subtle background tension and more overt moments of psychological horror, particularly as the professor reveals his knowledge of the situation.
